I had the pleasure of sitting on the board of the Las Vegas chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding – a national organization that grants wedding wishes to couples facing serious health issues or life events. After my term was up, I became a “Wish Grantor” and I was selected to coordinate the vow renewal for the most adorable couple.
Jane & Don came to Wish Upon a Wedding from the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute where Don is a patient and Jane is a volunteer. Don suffers from Alzheimers. Jane wanted to renew their vows on June 15, 2016 – their 64th wedding anniversary!
With the help of the board of Wish Upon a Wedding – we all got to work to assemble a team of professionals to make their day special.
I met with them over the course of the planning process and got to see the deep love and dedication they had for each other. Jane says her advice for a long and happy marriage is to marry your best friend.
So on June 15, 2016 at the Lou Ruvo’s Keep the Memory Alive Event Center – Jane & Don reaffirmed their love and commitment to each other and it was a perfect day!
